Welcome to Karma Yoga Kendra. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our member portal and related services operated through Studio Platform at https://karmayogakendra.in.
By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not register or use the portal.
Eligibility and accounts
To use the member portal you must provide accurate registration information including your name, email address, mobile phone number, and a password. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
We may require you to verify your email address before certain actions (such as account deletion). Teacher accounts may require approval by a school administrator before you can access teaching features.
Phone number and identity
A valid mobile phone number is required for registration. Phone numbers are stored in international format and must be unique per role (student or teacher) within our school. The same phone number cannot be used for both a student account and a teacher account.
Member portal features
Our portal allows you to access courses, classes, and school communications as enabled by your school.
You may book sessions for scheduled classes through the portal, subject to availability and enrollment rules.
Online courses may include video lessons. Your viewing progress may be recorded to support your learning.
Attendance may be recorded for in-person or live sessions you attend.
We offer in-person classes at locations published by the school. Please follow venue rules and schedules communicated by your teachers.
Trial or demo offers may be available for selected courses. Trial terms (duration, access limits) are shown at enrollment.
Promotional coupons may be applied to eligible enrollments as shown at checkout.
Payments
We accept online payments through Razorpay in Indian Rupees (INR) for course enrollments and related fees. Payment records are linked to your account for your reference.
Refund requests are handled according to our school refund policy. Contact us if you believe you are entitled to a refund.
Communications
We send transactional emails related to your account, enrollments, class reminders, and security (such as email verification and password reset).
Enrollment and class reminder emails may be sent when you have active enrollments or upcoming sessions.
Marketing emails are optional and off by default. You can manage notification preferences in your account settings.
Account suspension
School administrators may suspend (disable) an account. While disabled, you cannot sign in, but your data remains stored. Contact karmayogakendra@gmail.com if you believe your account was disabled in error.
Account deletion
You may request deletion of your account from your account settings, subject to verification of your identity (password and verified email). Deletion is permanent and includes:
Your profile and avatar
Enrollments, session bookings, lesson progress, and attendance records
Payment records linked to your account
Notifications and notification preferences
Contact form enquiries linked to your email will be anonymized (your name and message redacted).
After deletion, a minimal registration hold remains (hashed email and phone with masked hints) to prevent automatic re-registration. To register again, contact your school administrator to allow your return. If allowed, you start fresh with no prior courses, payments, or progress.
Teachers assigned to active scheduled or ongoing classes may need administrator assistance to delete their account. School administrator accounts cannot be self-deleted.
Teacher accounts
Teachers must complete profile requirements set by the school. Teacher registration may require administrator approval. Teachers with active class assignments may be blocked from self-deletion until classes are completed or reassigned.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the portal after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes may be communicated by email or a notice on the website.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Karma Yoga Kendra and Studio Platform are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the portal. Our total liability for any claim related to the portal is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or INR 1,000, whichever is greater.
